Seriously! He was less than 20 feet away and looked at us with his moose face! We spent about 3 hours walking on Desolation Trail up to Dog Lake and as we were on the trail chatting away, I heard something move and this is what we saw:After we stared for a few minutes, he started walking away and then we remembered we had the camera :) Anyway, the trail started off as as a pretty easy walk:
And here's what we looked like when we started:
But as we walked, we kept having to step around these weird collections of poop. As we walked, Matt wondered, "What animal does this?"
Anyway, after a while the trail turned to all snow! It was weird though, because in the sun and with the hiking, it wasn't cold at all. Here's what we looked like in short sleeves, hiking in snow:
And for much of the trail, there was a stream of melting snow that we followed. In the spring, all of the snow melts and the water is seriously freezing...here's my reaction:
Anyway, after going up some pretty steep snowy parts...we finally got to Dog Lake...and what do ya know...it was frozen!
Here's what we looked like when we got there:
All in all, a good hike!

We Signed A Lease...Our First Married Home!
Ooooook, so after much deliberation, we made a decision and will be living at Pinnacle Highlands in the Cottonwood Heights area of SLC! We will be living in a 2br/bath apartment...so now there is no excuse for not visiting :) Here's what Matt looks like when we're looking for apartments:
Anyway, there are beautiful views as the complex is kind of perched on a corner:
Here's a close up view...our new apartment is the first floor unit on the right :)
Here's what it looks like from the other side...see the mountains??? Yes!!!The pictures never do it justice...so you'll just have to come and take a look for yourself!
